Community Hall with Stage for Basaralu GP

Submitted by: Kavitha Swamy · Basaralu (Basaralu Hobli) · 09 Jul 2026
Accepted
Basaralu village has a population of 4,500+ but no community hall for weddings, public meetings, or cultural events. Families spend ₹15,000-25,000 renting halls in Mandya city. A 3,000 sq.ft community hall with a 20x15ft stage, 200 seating capacity, kitchen facility, and parking area would serve 8 surrounding villages. Land is available near the GP office.
MLA Response
Approved for construction under RDPR Samudaya Bhavana scheme (₹35 lakh budget). Land measurement and architectural design are in progress. Construction tender will be floated in Q3 2026.

Weekly Organic Santhe (Market) at Keelara Lake

Submitted by: Shruthi M. · Keelara (Keragodu Hobli) · 16 Jul 2026
Under Review
With the Keelara Lake walkway now completed, this location is perfect for a weekly organic produce market (Santhe) every Sunday. Local farmers grow turmeric, ragi, jaggery, and organic vegetables but have no direct retail outlet. A Sunday santhe will boost tourism and farmer incomes simultaneously.
MLA Response
We have directed the Agriculture Department and Keragodu Hobli leader to conduct a feasibility study, including traffic management and vendor stall allocation plan. Preliminary report expected within 2 weeks.

Bus Shelter with Seating at Mothahalli Junction

Submitted by: Suresh Babu N. · Mothahalli (Kothathi Hobli) · 21 Jul 2026
New
Mothahalli junction on the Mandya-Nagamangala road has no bus shelter. Commuters (mostly women and elderly) wait in the open sun and rain for KSRTC and private buses. A simple concrete bus shelter with seating for 15, route display board, and solar lighting would make a huge difference for the 300+ daily commuters.

Establish Digital Library & Competitive Exam Study Centre

Submitted by: Nagaraju Gowda · Madla (Dudda Hobli) · 12 Jul 2026
Accepted
We need a study centre in Madla village equipped with high-speed internet (minimum 50Mbps), 500+ reference books (UPSC, KPSC, KAS, Banking), daily newspaper subscriptions, and 10 desktop computers for village students preparing for competitive exams. Currently, students travel 30km to Mandya city for library access. A 1200 sq.ft panchayat building in Madla is unused and could be converted at minimal cost.
MLA Response
This suggestion is excellent. We are planning to fund this project under the MLA Local Area Development Scheme (LADS) in the upcoming quarter. Site survey of the vacant panchayat building has been completed by the Block Education Officer.

Install CCTV Cameras at Shivapura Bus Stand & Market

Submitted by: Deepak R. · Shivapura (Kasaba Hobli) · 18 Jul 2026
Under Review
Shivapura bus stand and the weekly market area have seen a rise in petty thefts and chain-snatching incidents. Installing 8-10 CCTV cameras (with night vision) connected to the Mandya Town police control room would significantly improve safety. The nearby Nayakanahalli farmers market should also be covered.
MLA Response
Proposal forwarded to the Mandya SP office and Municipal Council for budget estimation under the Safe City Programme.

Organic Farming Training Centre for Tirumalapura Cluster

Submitted by: Papegowda H. · Tirumalapura (Dudda Hobli) · 14 Jul 2026
Under Review
Mandya district is known for its sugarcane monoculture but soil health is declining. If the Agriculture Department sets up a training centre in Tirumalapura covering organic composting (Jeevamrutha, Beejamrutha), vermicomposting, integrated pest management, and millets cultivation, farmers from 6 surrounding villages can transition to sustainable farming. The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mandya can provide trainers.
MLA Response
Forwarded to the Joint Director of Agriculture, Mandya district. KVK Mandya has expressed willingness to conduct monthly training camps if a venue is provided.
